VibroScan QTec Xtra 3D measures three-dimensional vibrations in a new way - non-contact and with unprecedented precision. With its groundbreaking multi-path interferometry and diversity combining, QTec® sets new standards in terms of optical sensitivity and interference immunity.
With three synchronous measurements from three directions, all three dimensions of the vibration open up for analysis. The hub synchronizes the vibrometers with picosecond accuracy. MIMO-capable signal generators included. The PSV software takes over the guidance, detects the position of the individual VibroScans QTec in relation to the object, synchronizes the three laser beams and guides them over the measurement object in a μm-sized measuring spot. The results are automatically transformed into the FEM coordinate system and animated according to vibration direction.
VibroScan QTec Xtra 3D determines operational vibration modes and eigenmodes for NVH, acoustics, structural dynamics, ultrasound, FEM validation and non-destructive testing and offers frequency ranges up to 32 MHz. With its SWIR wavelength, the Xtra Laser brings more power to the measurement. The combination with QTec® makes the Xtra laser insensitive to the angle of impact and surface, making it ideal for 3D measurements. The VibroLink Ethernet data interface reliably transmits vibration measurement data to your notebook and serves as an automation interface.

QTec® multipath interferometry for fast and efficient vibration measurement
The patented QTec® laser technology reinvents laser vibration measurements by eliminating the root cause of noise, delivering superior optical sensitivity and enabling high-fidelity measurements on all technical surfaces – whether rotating, moving or dark. In order to achieve this, QTec vibrometers from Polytec use an innovative multi-path interferometry with diversity reception, that balances the information from the highest signal level of each path with patented algorithms, resulting in an always stable signal. This patented laser technology leads to faster, easier measurements and consistent results for all research, development and production testing efforts.
Automatic 3D alignment
New machine-vision techniques make the non-contact VibroScan QTec Xtra 3D Scanning Vibrometers as easy to use as any handy single-point laser vibration sensor while minimizing training needs. For high fidelity data especially from high frequency tests on medical tools as well as for measuring stress and strain, automatically aligning the 3 superimposed lasers is the key.
Here, the machine-vision based feature “3D alignment scan” guarantees µm-precision in X, Y and Z enabling faster test setups and highly reliable measurement results.
Customize your triax scanning vibrometer
With the right accessories, you can measure even the smallest components, localize and trigger noise, master even complex geometry and measurement setups and measure in tough test bench conditions or wind tunnels. Machine vision tools simplify the test setup and professional CAE interfaces support FE model validation, both modal and stain-based, allowing direct import of geometry files.
