Measure displacement and acceleration in any environment
Optical fiber sensors are a better alternative to electrical sensors for many applications. They are characterized by high accuracy, long-term stability, simple, cost-saving installation and first-class performance under harsh environmental conditions. These optical sensors are insensitive to electromagnetic influences (EMI) and extremely resistant to mechanical fatigue.
Here you will find the sensors for applications outside the classic expansion and temperature range.
In addition, new products are under development or are already available on request, including:
- Groundwater pressure sensors
- Clearance / distance / proximity sensors
- Temperature sensors for high temperatures
- Temperature sensor arrays for low temperatures
- Radiation resistant strain and temperature sensors
Product selection
Optical Strain Gage os5000
The os5000 strain gage was developed to measure small changes of less than 12 mm in building and geotechnical structures. It is easy to attach to metal, concrete, and other surfaces. The sensors are housed in a robust, hard-anodized aluminum casing for harsh environments.

Optical Strain Gage os5100
The os5100 strain gage was developed to measure changes of less than 50 mm in civil engineering and geotechnical structures. It is easy to attach to metal, concrete, and other surfaces. The sensors are housed in a robust, hard-anodized aluminum casing for harsh environments.

Long-range Optical Strain Gage os5500
The os5500 long-range optical strain gage was developed to measure changes of up to 450 mm in civil engineering and geotechnical structures. It is easy to attach to metal, concrete, and other surfaces. The sensors are housed in a robust, hard-anodized aluminum casing for harsh environments.

Fabry Perot Accelerometer os7500
The os7500 is an accelerometer based on Fabry-Perot technology and covers a wide range of vibration measurements. It can be used as a replacement for conventional accelerometers and offers EMI immunity, robust packaging, and resistance to lightning strikes and corrosion. Designed for demanding environments, the os7500 family enables measurements in frequency ranges up to 350 Hz with the highest sensitivity in the industry.
