Air-cooled UV curing of optical fibers
OmniCure®AC8225-F and AC8225-F+ UV LED curing systems are specifically designed for curing optical fibers. With a customizable optical design and state-of-the-art end optics, the AC8225-F and AC8225-F+ deliver high peak irradiance and exceptional uniformity at specific working distances for fast, uniform curing when coating optical fibers. The AC8225-F provides a peak irradiance of 12 W/cm2 at a working distance of 10 mm to 18 mm. To further increase process speed, the AC8225-F+ system provides a peak irradiance of up to 16 W/cm2 and features an optional, replaceable outer window for added protection. Both the AC8225-F and AC8225-F+ use patented LED control technology for superior uniformity and have the ability to connect multiple systems while maintaining optical uniformity between each system.
The OmniCure AC8225-F/ F+ UV LED light guide curing systems reduce power consumption by up to 60% compared to conventional arc lamp systems, delivering exceptional cost savings without affecting belt speed. With a lifetime of over 40,000 hours and no replacement parts required, maintenance costs are further reduced.
