The OmniCure® series offers single or multi-branch liquid-filled or fiber optic light guides to suit most customer requirements, as well as a variety of other optical accessories.
Product selection
Fiber optic cable
Available with a tip diameter of 3, 5 and 8 mm, these fiber optic cables are an economical choice for light emission. Standard lengths from 750 to 3,000 mm. Two and three-branch configurations available for multi-point curing. Extended range guides provide additional energy in lower wavelengths for tack-free curing.

| Features | Advantages |
|---|---|
| Economical light output to parts | Low costs for small batch production |
| High throughput | Suitable for a wide range of applications |
| 2, 3, 5 & 8 mm spot size diameters | Customized spot diameters to suit any assembly process |
High-performance fiber optic cable
Excelitas' high-power fiber optic light guide provides a uniform light distribution to multiple cure sites from a single light source. New technology offers over 50% more throughput than industry standard fiber optic light guides for greater flexibility in your curing process. In addition, these light guides offer over 30% more power than standard multi-branch light guides and require no equalization.

| Features | Advantages |
|---|---|
| Consistent output across multiple branches without equalization | Less operator intervention |
| Higher output power (25% to 50% more throughput) | Delivers more energy to the lamp, extending lamp life |
| No degradation and longer life than liquid light guides | Never needs to be replaced |
| Transmission from 160 nm to 1200 nm | Extended range light guide no longer required |
High power fiber optic light guide
The high power fiber optic light guide uses technology developed for high power fiber optic light guides to provide a linear beam of curing energy. The glass fibers are continuous from fiber optic input to termination, eliminating coupling losses associated with common fiber optic accessories. Ideal for joining main seals, chip to glass, TAB and flexible boards to flat panel displays.

| Features | Advantages |
|---|---|
| Linear beam with high power as curing energy | Eliminates all losses that occur between the accessory and the light guide |
| 2 to 3 times higher radiation compared to standard light guide accessories | Ideal for use in applications requiring high peak radiant intensity |
| Custom sizes available | Can be easily adapted to any mounting process |
UV curing ring
The curing ring technology enables the light output of a light guide of 360 degrees. The standard ring for use with liquid light guides is available in solid or slotted versions. Curing rings are ideal for connecting a range of medical devices such as catheters and tubes, cables or other parts that require 360 degree curing.

| Features | Advantages |
|---|---|
| 360-degree light beam | Even curing across the entire substrate, eliminates uneven curing |
| Available in solid, slotted or hinged versions | Less user intervention |
| Can be coupled with standard Lumen Dynamics liquid light guides and high performance fiber optic light guides | Can be easily adapted to any assembly process |
Fiber optic line adapter
The UV light pipe optical adapter converts the light spot of the light pipe into a focused, linear beam of curing energy. The light line effectively cures small component rows, paint on tubing and cable, and anything requiring a line length up to two inches. It also performs stapling and strain relief of multi-stranded wires and edge bonding of flat panel displays.

| Features | Advantages |
|---|---|
| Can be coupled with liquid and high-performance fiber optic light guides (5 mm) | Can be easily adapted to any mounting process |
| Standard length 5 cm | Uniform distribution of linear light |
| Uniform, linear light beam | Improved process control |
Dot collimation adapter
The adjustable collimation adapter is ideal for any application that requires a uniform spot from 2.54 to 15.2 cm. The benefit of homogeneous power distribution allows the user to cure adhesive evenly without having to compensate for uneven light distribution.

| Features | Advantages |
|---|---|
| Uniform point from 2.54 cm to 15.2 cm | Low costs for small series production |
| Available in diameter sizes of 3 mm, 5 mm and 8 mm | Can be easily adapted to light guides from Lumen Dynamics |
| Includes light guide holder specific to the light guide size | Less user intervention |
