Polytec Inc. is seeking a driven, technically minded individual to join our Technical Sales team, supporting our industry-leading Laser Surface Velocimeter (LSV) systems. In this role, you’ll collaborate with top manufacturers in steel, aluminum, converting, building materials, and beyond, helping them implement real-world measurement and control solutions.
We value capability over credentials. A bachelor’s degree is welcome but not required. What truly matters is a strong technical mindset, a willingness to learn, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
Your role
- Be the main technical and customer contact for pre- and post-sales support.
- Understand application needs, demonstrate solutions, and support system installations.
- Work with engineers and purchasing teams to move projects forward.
- Provide remote and on-site support to ensure long-term success.
- Take ownership of your area within the LSV product group and grow it.
What we are looking for:
- Strong technical aptitude and curiosity to learn advanced systems.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfort in industrial environments, from steel mills to battery production lines.
- Confidence engaging with everyone from operators to senior decision-makers.
- Willingness to travel across North America, with occasional visits to our German HQ.
- Experience in industrial sales or measurement/control systems is a plus.
