UVC low-pressure lamps

for disinfection and oxidation

Efficient UVC light sources for air, water and surface treatment

Low-pressure UVC lamps generate intense ultraviolet radiation predominantly at 254 nm and provide efficient light sources for reliable disinfection of water, air and surfaces. Ozone-generating versions additionally emit at 185 nm, enabling oxidation processes for the reduction of pollutants, odors and organic compounds.

The portfolio includes conventional and high-output low-pressure mercury lamps, long-life amalgam lamps with higher UVC power density, and the high-power NNILight series for demanding water treatment and oxidation processes. Different power levels, lamp geometries and connection options enable flexible integration into industrial UV systems.

Low-pressure UVC light sources

Low-pressure mercury UVC lamps - for versatile disinfection applications

Noblelight low-pressure UVC lamps made from high-quality quartz glass provide efficient light sources for the disinfection of water, air and surfaces. Ozone-free versions emit at 254 nm with typical UV efficiency of up to 40%. For oxidation processes, lamps generating additional radiation at 185 nm are also available.

In addition to conventional low-pressure lamps, the product range includes high-output versions. Different lengths, connectors and straight or U-shaped geometries enable adaptation to a wide range of equipment and installation requirements.

Typical applications are drinking and wastewater disinfection, air and HVAC systems, surface disinfection, hospital air disinfection, industrial exhaust air treatment or grease and odor control in commercial kitchens.

Low-pressure amalgam UVC lamps - high power density and long operating life

Noblelight amalgam UVC lamps combine the high efficiency of low-pressure technology with significantly higher UVC power density. They provide up to ten times the UV power density of conventional low-pressure mercury lamps, making them particularly suitable for applications requiring high UVC output with efficient operation.

Longlife coating technology reduces age-related transmission loss and helps maintain consistent UVC performance over an extended operating life. Amalgam lamps also operate reliably at ambient temperatures of up to 90 °C and are resistant to temperature fluctuations.

Typical applications are municipal drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment, air-conditioning and air treatment, industrial exhaust air treatment and pollutant reduction and oxidation processes.

Features
  • UVC emission at 254 nm; ozone-generating versions at 185 and 254 nm
  • Up to 10 times higher UV power density than conventional low-pressure mercury lamps
  • Specific UVC flux of 0.5 to 2 W/cm
  • Electrical power from 50 to 800 W
  • Arc lengths from 25 to 150 cm
  • Typical UV efficiency at 254 nm of 35%
  • Operation at ambient temperatures up to 90 °C
  • Resistant to temperature fluctuations
  • Longlife technology for consistent UVC output
  • Service life up to 16,000 hours
  • Minimal heat generation
  • Energy-efficient alternative to medium-pressure lamps
NNILight high-power low-pressure UVC lamps - high output for water disinfection and AOP

The NNILight series extends low-pressure technology into significantly higher power ranges. Available in 800, 1,000 and 1,500 W versions, these out-of-arc amalgam lamps are designed particularly for high-performance water treatment and Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOP).

With radiant flux at 254 nm of up to 470 W, NNILight lamps combine high UVC output with the efficiency and lifetime advantages of low-pressure technology. They maintain stable performance across a wide range of water temperatures and support dimming operation. Ozone-free and ozone-generating versions allow the light source to be matched to both disinfection and oxidation processes.

Typical applications are drinking water, wastewater and surface water treatment, process and industrial water, food and beverage processing, aquaculture, agriculture, air treatment and advanced oxidation processes (AOP).
