BlueLight Hygienic – UVC system for packaging disinfection

The Excelitas BlueLight® Hygienic System is specifically designed for rapid surface disinfection of food packaging. High-intensity UVC technology enables the inactivation of bacteria, yeasts and molds within short process times.

The hygienic IP66-rated system combines high UV intensity with cold radiation and air cooling. According to Excelitas, energy savings of up to 90% compared with medium-pressure systems are possible. The process requires neither chemical disinfectants nor water cooling.

Typical applications are food packaging, packaging and filling equipment and hygiene-critical production processes.

BlueLight Premium – UVC system for food packaging disinfection

BlueLight® Premium UVC systems are designed for reliable disinfection of a wide range of food packaging. Amalgam low-pressure technology provides intensive UVC treatment with comparatively low thermal impact, making it particularly suitable for packaging used with temperature-sensitive fresh products.

Available in different sizes and power levels, the systems can also be retrofitted into existing filling and sealing equipment. Long lamp life, high irradiance and low maintenance requirements support economical production processes.

Typical applications are sealing foils, cups and buckets, pouches, gable-top cartons, packaging for yogurt, milk and other fresh products.

BlueLight SteriBelt – UVC conveyor belt disinfection system

The Excelitas BlueLight® SteriBelt is specifically designed for surface disinfection of conveyor belts. Particularly in meat processing, the system supports demanding hygiene requirements by providing continuous, chemical-free treatment of the belt surface.

Its flat amalgam lamp geometry concentrates more than 50% of the emitted power directly onto the target surface. Different system lengths accommodate various conveyor widths and facilitate retrofitting into existing production equipment.

Typical applications are food processing conveyor belts, meat processing and packaging and bottle sealing caps.

Air D – UVC air disinfection system for HVAC systems

The Excelitas Air D is a modular UVC system for continuous air disinfection in HVAC, ventilation and recirculation systems. Modules are installed directly into existing supply-air ductwork, treating the passing air with ozone-free UVC radiation at 254 nm.

Its slim profile creates virtually no additional pressure loss within the duct. Four module lengths and the ability to install multiple units side by side allow the required UVC dose to be adapted to airflow and application requirements.

Smart Vacuum UV Control – VUV system for commercial kitchen exhaust treatment

The Excelitas Smart Vacuum UV Control System is designed to treat grease-containing aerosols in commercial kitchen exhaust systems and hoods. High-performance VUV lamps emit at 185 nm, helping to break down and neutralize grease and odors in the exhaust air.

This can reduce grease deposits in hoods and exhaust ducts, helping to lower fire risks as well as cleaning and maintenance requirements. According to Excelitas, one high-power VUV lamp can replace four to six conventional low-pressure lamps. Longlife coating provides an effective operating life of up to 10,000 hours.
