Hilton Head Workshop: A Solid-State Sensors, Actuators and Microsystems Workshop

The Hilton Head Workshop annually attracts 350-500 participants from various professional spheres such as academia, industry, and government. These attendees come from an array of technical fields, including chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, biology, and bioengineering. Historically, this workshop has served as an interactive platform where researchers share and discuss the latest developments in microfabrication technologies. These technologies are crucial for creating sensing and actuation devices and microsystems that have applications in physical, chemical, and biological contexts.

Polytec is thrilled to present its latest innovation, the MSA-650 IRIS Micro System Analyzer, at the Hilton Head Workshop. This cutting-edge all-in-one measurement workstation is specifically designed for the analysis of encapsulated MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) and boasts a fully automated setup to streamline integration. Visitors are invited to explore our booth to discover how the benefits of this technology can be applied to various applications.

The Micro System Analyzer (MSA) is equipped with advanced tools for both dynamic and static analysis of MEMS. Our newest offering, the MSA-600, elevates these capabilities further, offering exceptional measurement accuracy and performance. One of its key features is laser Doppler vibrometry (LDV), which allows for precise real-time response measurements with sub-picometer resolution and an extensive frequency range up to 6 GHz. The system’s automated scanning vibrometry enables comprehensive visualization, including full-field displays and 3D animation of deflection shapes. Additionally, the MSA-600 includes enhanced features for planar motion analysis and topography, making it a comprehensive solution for MEMS analysis.
