OFV-C-103 Side Exit Head

Provides 90° deflection of the laser beam. For use with the OFV-55x Fiber Optic Interferometer. Diameter: 5 mm

The special design of the OFV-C-103 enables measurements on locations previously inaccessible even for laser measurements. To gain optical access to obstructed locations, the laser beam frequently has to pass almost parallel to a nearby surface. Those situations require the laser beam to emerge from the side exit head very close to its tip.

The OFV-C-103 features a novel design integrating the deflection optics into the very tip of the probe allowing the laser beam to exit just 1 mm away from the probe tip. The OFV-C-103 is the most flexible side exit head designed for cramped measurement situations.

Common applications are measurements on precision mechanical components and hard-disk sliders.  The lower slider heads close to the hard disk housing are also accessible when using the OFV-C-103.
