Wins Age Division at Boston Marathon

At his 26th consecutive and final competitive Boston Marathon, David Oliver achieved his lifelong dream of winning his age division, finishing with a time of 2:58:23. “My legs felt ready,” he said through a distinctive British accent. “I was very determined to do my very best. It’s something I’ve strived for for many, many years.”

David finished first in 60-64 age division (out of about 1100 male runners), which is more than two minutes ahead of second place finisher. This result is the fastest finish of any Quarter Century Club (QCC) member age 60 or more in the history of the Boston Marathon. David is one of only two QCC members to go under three hours at age 60 or higher.

We congratulate our colleague David Oliver on this stellar accomplishment and wish him many enjoyable non-competitive Boston Marathon finishes in the future.
