OFV-534 Compact Sensor Head - Accessories

The excellent optical sensitivity Polytec vibrometers are known to have has been packed into an extremely compact, very versatile sensor head housing. Despite the amazingly small size of its housing, the sensor head is both a high performance vibrometer, and a video camera (option) for online monitoring of the measurement. A range of new accessories and options enable both OFV-534 and CLV-2534 Sensor Heads to solve many applications ranging from microstructure R&D to industrial inspection of large structures.

OFV-A-534-CAM/CAP Camera Option

The OFV-A-534-CAM/CAP camera option offers a video image of the object under test. When using Polytec VibSoft vibrometer software, the VIB-S-Video option allows to display and save the video image along with the measurement data.

    
VIB-A-10xLENS and VIB-A-20xLENS Microscope Objective

Combining the sensor head with the new VIB-A-510 LED Illumination Unit and a Microscope Objective (e.g. VIB-A-20xLENS) turns the CLV-2534 or the OFV-534 into a measurement microscope for microstructures. With a spot size of only 1.5 μm and the camera option, the laser is always positioned and focused correctly. These accessories are easily mounted onto the sensor head. The illumination unit is highly recommended in conjunction with the microscope objectives.

    
VIB-A-510 LED Illumination Unit

The microscope lens (VIB-A-10xLENS featuring a 3 µm laser spot at 33.5 mm stand-off distance; VIB-A-20xLENS  featuring 1.5 μm laser spot at 20 mm stand-off distance) can be fitted directly onto the sensor head which makes it possible to measure vibration on microstructures. With a minimum 1.5 μm laser spot size and the integrated video camera, small parts can be measured without a special microscope.

    
VIB-A-520 Telescopic Objective

Where a large stand-off distance and small field-of-view are required, the VIB-A-520 Telescopic Objective replaces the standard objective, making the OFV-534 and CLV-2534 Sensor Head a perfect tool for hard disk drive component measurements and quality tests, featuring a 320 mm working distance and a spot size of only 15 μm (magnification ~5X; field of view 3.8 by 2.9 mm).

    
VIB-A-530 and VIB-A-531 Beam Deflection Unit

For measurement locations requiring a turn to get access, two 90° Deflection Units (for laser only and for both laser and video image) are available. The VIB-A-530 Beam Deflection Unit has a probe tip diameter of 10 mm and provides a 90 degree deflection of the laser beam. The VIB-A-531  Beam/Video Deflection Unit provides a 90 degree deflection of the laser beam and of the video image.
