PMA Software - PMA 2.4

Stroboscopic Video Microscopy measurement has become even more easier and efficient with the new 2.4 release of the PMASoft Planar Motion Analyzer Software. A wide number of new functionalities and improvements provides you the best software for in-plane measurements.

New Features

Among other items, the following features have been implemented in version 2.4:

• Online results
  Evaluation results can be created and collected already in the video window without starting a measurement. The results can be saved together with a video image in measurement files.
  Your benefit: This feature gives you fast results for a first impression. It saves time and makes sure the settings are correct for the measurement.
   
• Geometry measurements
  In the video window ranges and circles can be marked and measured.
  Your benefit: Enhanced evaluation of your micro devices. Geometries can be measured directly and easy.
   
• Smaller file sizes, faster measurements
  A region of the camera frame can be selected for saving the measurement. Therefore the measurement duration will be shorter and the file size smaller. 
  Your benefit: Enhanced productivity.
   
• Project browser and information page 
  For PMD files and settings, the browser displays the containing information. This includes measurement settings and frequency band definitions. Several actions are available for the displayed elements. Moreover a new information page allows to display the summary of the content of PMD files.
  Your benefit: Gives you the ability to keep track of all your measurements and projects.
   
• Data fitting
  New fits give you more details about the quality of your data. A Sine fit can be displayed for periodic signals. Moreover the analyzer allows to display a curve fitted to the peak between cursor lines together with the frequency of the peak maximum and the width of the peak at –3 dB.
  Your benefit: Enhanced data evaluation to provide you the easiest way to get the values you are interested in.
   
• New cursor modes
  The analyzer provides two new types of cursors:
  - The band cursor allows to calculate minimum, maximum, RMS, mean, standard deviation of the values between the cursor lines.
  - The harmonic cursor allows up to 12 cursor lines displayed at harmonics of the base frequency.
  - Both cursor types allow to display horizontal lines at the intersection of the cursor lines with the data values. The values displayed in the legend can be configured via cursor properties dialogs. The cursor values can be copied to the clipboard. 
  Your benefit: Extensively enhanced peak analysis capability.
   
• PSV point import
  A new scan point import from out-of-plane measurements (PSV files) emphasizes the advantage of the MSA-400 to evaluate a micro device in all three dimensions. 
  Your benefit: Enhanced productivity by analyzing a device also in out-of-plane direction.
   
• Adopt measurement settings
  Measurement settings from other PMD files can be imported, applied and saved separately.
  Your benefit: Saves you time by using settings already made in previous measurements.
