In material testing, the number of high-speed machines used for rapid disruption and perforation tests is increasing, and Polytec's In-Plane Vibrometers have been employed for years to perform high-precision velocity measurements. The use of two synchronized vibrometers enables non-contact tensile strength measurement in addition to precise and reactionless determination of velocity over time on the sample, with a final velocity up to 50 m/s.
