Process Analytics: Fast, Precise, and Reliable

Process analytics is used for automated real-time control of production processes. In addition to ensuring consistent product quality, the production process itself is improved by enhancing safety and overall cost efficiency. Process analytics is applied at several levels of the production chain: incoming goods inspection, process control, and end-product classification.
Near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy based on diode array technology is one of the most important and widely used methods in process analytics. It provides a fast, reliable, and comprehensive solution for a cost-efficient production chain. Thereby, accessible measurement parameters are manifold: e.g. qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis, particle size or layer thickness measurements are typical applications.
Polytec spectrometer systems can be individually configured to accommodate sample properties and the various requirements of different production processes.
Solids
Piece and bulk goods, such as vials, granules, webs, etc.
Fluids
Liquids, dispersions, pastes, etc.
Gases
Gases, aerosols, smoke, etc.
Advantages of NIR Process Analytics:
- Real-time process monitoring and control
- Suitable for statistical process management
- Non-destructive, non-invasive
- No sample preparation or wastage
- Increased efficiency and cost reduction, e.g. by reducing rejects
- Proven technology
